Energy Systems Group is looking for an Account Executive to join our Public Sector Performance Contracting team, located in Minnesota. You will have the ability to work virtually but may be required to travel throughout the state, including overnight stays.
As Public Sector Account Executive you will drive the business by prospecting for new clients, developing relationships, and understanding our client's energy needs. You will help create energy cost saving proposals while working with our engineering and project management teams to develop and implement real world solutions.
To be successful in this role you will:
- Excel in new strategic business development
- Keep up with industry trends and technology
- Develop and execute a sales playbook
- Be productive and manage your own calendar
- Demonstrate persistence during a 18-24 month sales cycle
- Have a strong financial acumen
- Be adept at conceptual selling
Your background includes:
- A Bachelor's Degree
- Previous experience working at an ESCO
- Verifiable knowledge of performance contracting
- Comfortable dealing with key decision makers- C-Suite
A bonus to have:
- Established relationships within the industry
- Prior experience working with municipal, university, schools, and hospital clients.
- Three years of high level sales experience.
