POSITION AVAILABLE: MATERIAL HANDLER - FORKLIFT DRIVER
JOB TYPE: Full Time
SCHEDULE: 12 Hour Shifts Day: 5:30AM - 6:00PM OR Night: 5:30PM - 6:00AM
Start out on 5 days M-F shift or 5 nights M-F shift, then at some point - move to a weekly rotation of 2-2-3 schedule
example:
week 1 - 2 days on, 2 days off, 3 days on
week 2 - 2 days off, 2 days on, 3 days off
LOCATION: 1618 Lynch Rd Evansville, IN 47711
JOB DESCRIPTION: Utilize Forklift to move materials, supplies, and finished goods to designated places in the facility.
This position will keep production moving smoothly by ensuring all work stations are maintained with all the necessary raw materials and product components to produce our finished products; While keep our work areas clear by moving all finished products to their appropriate location outside of the plant in the staging or shipping area.
Track of all movement of supplies, raw materials, product components and finished products.
PRODUCTION AREA:
  • Safely operate a forklift (sit-down) for materials movement in a fast paced manufacturing/production environment.
  • Supply all necessary components to machines (wheels, axles, lift bars, lids, regrind, color concentrate, hinge pins, etc.). Remove all unused components upon completion of order.
  • Remove finished goods and unused components from machines and move to designated staging area outside the production building; Stack skids, pallets, or gaylords in designated areas.
  • Clean up and dispose of scrap finished product or components, and place in proper containers or designated areas.
  • Use hand tools to remove strapping and open crates.
  • Assist process technicians with machine color changes.
  • Clean spilled resin from floor and machine decks as necessary.
  • Change machine resin supply from one silo to another silo as requested.
  • Print labels for finished goods, material, etc. Make computer entries regarding the movement of materials, color, etc. to and from warehouse storage. Complete inventory paperwork accurately.
  • Demonstrate initiative to regularly check components at each machine to ensure the correct parts are being used.
  • Demonstrate initiative and safe driving habits.
  • Other duties as assigned
REQUIREMENTS:
  • High school graduate or equivalent
  • Previous Forklift / Material Handling experience (1 or more years experience required)
  • Experienced in fast paced manufacturing/production environment required
  • Monitoring inventory and tracking materials movement
  • Able to complete and pass company sponsored Fork Lift training and license certification
