Location: Evansville, IN, 47711

Job Responsibilities:

• Prepares orders for shipping, completes appropriate paperwork and ensures accuracy of the information, organizes outgoing orders in designated area for maximum efficiency of loading.
• Organizes bills of lading; checks items to be shipped against customer orders to ensure that quantities and weights are correct
• Receives and unloads incoming materials and compares information on packing slip and BOL with purchasing packet to verify accuracy of shipment.
• Sorts, counts, packages, labels, unpacks, and/or logs inventory which is shipped or received.
• Performs all incoming inspections and testing as outlined in QA073 for raw materials.
• May operate dolly, pallet jack, and/or forklift in loading and unloading supplies and equipment
• Follows established departmental policies, procedures, and objectives, continuous quality improvement objectives, and safety, environmental standards.
• Leads, guides, and trains employees performing related work.
• Performs daily cycle counts on Distributor stock finish goods.
• Completes daily shipping and receiving log.
• Final inspections of Finish Goods packaging and labels before shipping.
• Inspects all trash prior to going in dumpster.
• Maintains a daily log sheet of all raw materials going into trash.
• Participates in physical inventory every month.
• Performs other duties as assigned

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Previous experience in shipping and receiving
• Ability to operate light equipment
• Ability to lift and manipulate heavy objects
• Knowledge of shipping methods and procedures
• Ability to follow safety procedures
• Ability to adapt to changes in workday/schedule based upon current activities in the plant
