Hydro's aluminum remelting facility in Henderson, KY produces over 90,000 metric tons of metal annually. We are looking to expand our team by adding a qualified Process Technician to our highly engaged workforce.

Summary:

The Process Technician performs the daily operations in their assigned area, delivering a high quality product in a safe and efficient manner.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Maintain and promote a safe work environment and safe work practices by observing applicable EHS rules, including the 5S standard.
  • Maintain an absolute commitment to an incident-free, safe working environment.
  • Assist team in obtaining production targets and eliminating bottlenecks by serving in the following processes: charting, melting, casting, homogenizing, sawing, packing, and loading.
  • Rotate periodically through all team roles.
  • Perform routine minor maintenance of equipment as required.
  • Assist maintenance technicians and others in heavier maintenance, if needed.
  • Actively participate in process improvement activities.
  • Improve quality and customer satisfaction by complying with all quality requirements and performing quality checks as required.
  • Adhere to SOPs in accordance with production best practices; assist in updating and improving SOPs.

Job Requirements:

  • High School Diploma/ GED is required.
  • Knowledge of the casting process and molten metal background is desirable.
  • Minimum of two years stable work experience in an industrial environment is required.
  • Good communication skills and willingness to work on a diverse, cooperative team.
  • Willingness to work a rapid rotation swing shift on an EOWEO (every other weekend off) schedule.
  • Excellent attendance record in previous positions.

Physical and Work Environment Demands:

  • Work is performed on the plant floor, where individual will have exposure to substantial heat and loud noises. May occasionally be exposed to fumes and airborne particles.
  • Frequently requires physical effort including, but not limited to, lifting up to 50 lbs., climbing equipment and stairs, and using various hand tools.
