Job Description

Are you an experienced Desktop Software Engineer looking to join an innovative team focused on creating innovative next generation medical devices affecting patient lives? If so, Masimo may be the place for you! We are looking for a Desktop Application Engineer to join our team at our Irvine, CA headquarters.

Job Summary:

As a Desktop Software Engineer, you will design, develop, and implement desktop applications for our medical devices. You will implement applications that interface, configure, and generate reports on our medical devices. You will be responsible for all stages of software development for these applications, from conception to final product. Being involved in both the back and front end, you will be working alongside other Engineers and Developers, collaborating on the various layers necessary.

Requirements:

  • 7+ years of experience with object-oriented development (C++, Java, or Python) developing cross platform desktop applications.
  • Strong architecture and design modeling; MVC design pattern and MVVM design pattern.
  • Solid background in developing cross-platform applications and C++ and the Qt framework.
  • Excellent conceptual, analytical, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to excel in a fast paced and dynamic work environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • BS or MS degree in Computer Science or Engineering.
  • Ability to work onsite Monday - Friday in Irvine, CA.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with relational databases: Postgres, and SQlite.
  • Experience with C/C++.
  • Experience with Linux/UNIX environments.
  • SVN version control.

The anticipated range for this position is $110,000 - $149,000. Actual placement within the range is dependent on multiple factors, including but not limited to skills, education, and experience.
