JOB SCOPE

We are seeking a skilled Content Delivery Network (CDN) Engineer to join our dynamic team. As a CDN Engineer, you will play a crucial role in optimizing and maintaining our content delivery infrastructure to ensure high performance, scalability, and reliability.


DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • CDN Architecture Design: Design and implement CDN architectures tailored to meet the specific requirements of our content delivery needs.
  • Performance Optimization: Continuously monitor and optimize CDN performance, including latency reduction, cache efficiency, and throughput enhancement.
  • Content Management: Collaborate with content producers and developers to ensure seamless integration of content into the CDN, including asset caching and invalidation strategies.
  • Security Implementation: Implement and maintain robust security measures within the CDN infrastructure to safeguard against potential threats and attacks.
  • Monitoring and Troubleshooting: Monitor CDN performance metrics and proactively identify and resolve any issues or bottlenecks to ensure uninterrupted content delivery.
  • Capacity Planning: Conduct capacity planning exercises to anticipate future traffic growth and scale the CDN infrastructure accordingly.
  • Automation and Scripting: Develop automation scripts and tools to streamline CDN deployment, configuration, and maintenance tasks.
  • Collaboration: Work closely with cross-functional teams, including network engineers, software developers, and system administrators, to ensure seamless integration and operation of the CDN within the broader infrastructure.
  • Support: Provide 24/7 support in an on-call rotation.

BASIC/MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of six (6) years of engineering work experience .
  • Minimum of five (5) years of enterprise application support in a Linux environment, including strong troubleshooting, testing/evaluations, and root cause investigation capabilities
  • Must be able to work the following shift: Monday thru Friday from 8:00AM - 5:00PM

ADDITIONAL JOB QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience working with CDN technologies, such as Akamai, Cloudflare, or Amazon CloudFront.
  • Strong understanding of networking concepts, including TCP/IP, DNS, and HTTP/S.
  • Proficiency in scripting and automation using languages such as Python, Bash, or Perl.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Industry certifications, such as AWS Certified Solutions Architect, Certified CDN Professional (CCP), CCNA, SCTE DVEP and Linux.
  • Experience with DevOps practices and tools, such as Docker, Kubernetes, or Ansible.
  • Knowledge of edge computing technologies and CDN edge services.
  • Experience with performance monitoring and analysis tools, such as New Relic or Datadog.

The pay for this position has a salary range of $88,200.00 to $156,600.00. The actual salary offer will carefully consider a wide range of factors, including your skills, qualifications, experience and location. Also, certain positions are eligible for additional forms of compensation such as bonuses.
